Shape up for Spring!
Protection from the Financial Risks of Poor Health or Disability
According to all the information at our disposal, Canadians are "in the pink": in fact, almost two out of three adults feel they are in very good or excellent health. Life expectancy is continually on the rise: a child born in 1996 can expect to live until age 78 (for men) or 81 (for women)-a new peak that reflects one of the highest indices of all the industrialized countries.
Shape Up!
Engaging in moderate physical activity almost every day of the week has some major physical and psychological benefits. Regular exercise can reduce the risk of high blood pressure, stroke, high cholesterol, diabetes, arthritis, and other health problems.
