Ms. Monique F. Leroux is President and CEO of Desjardins Group since March 2008. She is also Chairman of the Board of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec, President of the Desjardins Group's Strategic Management Committee, and Chief Executive Officer of the Group's subsidiaries, including Desjardins Financial Security.
Prior to her appointment, she was Senior Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Desjardins Group since 2004.
Ms. Leroux also served before 2004 as President of Desjardins Financial Corporation and Chief Executive Officer of its subsidiaries, including Desjardins Financial Security (life and health insurance), Desjardins General Insurance Group (property and casualty insurance), Desjardins Specialized Financial Services Management (trust services and investment funds), as well as Desjardins Asset Management, where she also served as Director.
Ms. Leroux has been named as one of Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women by the Women's Executive Network of Toronto, as well as one of Canada's Top 25 Women to Watch in 2008 by the Women's Post. She sits on the Board of Directors of the Société des alcools du Québec, Fiera Capital, Siparex Group (Europe), HEC Montréal, the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation and the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. She was also President of the Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec and served on the Board of Governors of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Richard Fortier has been the President and Chief Operating Officer of Desjardins Financial Security and a member of the Desjardins Group's Strategic Management Structure Committee since September 1, 2006. Prior to this appointment, he had been Senior Vice-President of Actuarial, Finance and Corporate Services since 2000.
Mr. Fortier has had an impressive career in the field of insurance. He started out in 1973 as an actuarial clerk for Cooperants, Mutual Life Insurance Society. Quickly rising through the ranks, he held a variety of management positions in the actuarial and business development sectors before being appointed Vice-President and General Manager of the Society in 1987. He later used his extensive experience to benefit Royal Trust as senior partner and Vice President, Corporate Financial Services. In 1994, he joined the Desjardins-Laurentian Life Group as Senior Vice-President, Client Services Development, and was later appointed Senior Vice-President, Actuarial and Corporate Services and Monitoring.
Mr. Fortier sit on the Industry Advisory Committee of Assuris since May 23, 2007.
Mr. Fortier graduated from Laval University with a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Sciences and has been a certified financial analyst (CFA) since 1994. He has also been a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FICA) and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) since 1977, and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) since 1981.
Richard Fortier is very socially involved, serving in particular on the board of Montreal's Geriatrics Institute (Institut de gériatrie de Montréal). He is active in the Association des Arches du Québec, an organization dedicated to helping people with mental impairments, and is an active participant in fund-raising campaigns for Laval University. He has received recognition from the Canadian Institute of Actuaries for his volunteer work on its behalf, and was part of an international mission to assist local insurance companies in Peru and Bolivia.

Alain Bédard has held the position of Senior Vice-President, Individual Insurance, since May 15, 2007. He is responsible for all individual life and health insurance operations throughout Canada as well as this sector's products and services offered through the numerous distribution networks, including the financial centres of Desjardins Financial Security Independent Network (ROC) and SFL (Quebec).
He is also in charge of assurfinance activities for individuals, including insurance products offered to Desjardins caisse members by DFS financial security advisors.
Mr. Bédard has an impressive track record. He has 28 years of experience with DFS and served the last 18 years as a senior manager. He has a B.A. in Actuarial Science and is a Fellow of both the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Society of Actuaries.

François Drouin is Senior Vice-President, Finance since January, 2007. He joined Desjardins in 1990 and Desjardins Financial Security in 1995. Prior to his appointment, he was the Vice-President, Finance.
In his role, François Drouin is responsible for analyzing, preparing and presenting financial reports and determining accounting treatments for Desjardins Financial Security and its subsidiaries. He is also responsible for preparing financial plans, budgets and financial forecasts for the Company as well as planning and optimizing corporate taxation, taxation of products offered and taxation of corporate purchases/sales. He is also responsible for Reinsurance, Integrated Risk Management and Material Resources.
François Drouin is a licensed accountant and a member of the Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec.

Gérard Guilbault Chief Investment Officer President and Chief Operating Officer of Desjardins Asset Management |
Gérard Guilbault joined Desjardins Group in the late 1980s as Vice-President, Financial Markets at Trustco Desjardins (now Desjardins Trust). He subsequently performed different investment functions as Vice-President and Senior Vice-President for Desjardins-Laurentian Life Group, Opvest and Desjardins-Laurential Financial Corporation. He was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer at Desjardins Asset Management in May 2004.
Gérard Guilbault is a chartered financial analyst (CFA) and has a bachelor's degree in business administration (finance and economics) from HEC Montréal. He has also completed the Executive Business Program at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.

Camil Lévesque has held the position of Vice-President, Corporate Actuarial Services since 1990. He has worked for Desjardins Financial Security since 1975; prior to this appointment, he was Director of Corporate Actuarial Services.
Among other things, he is responsible for certifying the actuarial liabilities on the company’s balance sheet, reporting to the Board of Directors on the company’s dynamic capital adequacy testing and ensuring the sound matching of assets and liabilities. He also plays an important role in the design of Desjardins Financial Security’s insurance products.
Mr. Lévesque has a bachelor’s degree in actuarial sciences and a MBA from Université Laval. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.

Alain Thauvette was appointed Senior Vice-President, Group and Business Insurance on August 18, 2003. He is responsible for all activities pertaining to the offer of group insurance products and services Canada-wide.
Mr. Thauvette is a chartered accountant and has held several positions since he began working for the Company in 1992, including head of finance for Imperial Life Assurance Company, Desjardins-Laurentian Financial Corporation and Desjardins-Laurentian Life Assurance. He had been Executive Vice-President of the Group Network for three years when he was appointed to his current position.

Monique Tremblay was appointed Senior Vice-President, Savings and Segregated Funds, on August 18, 2003. She is responsible for all activities pertaining to savings for groups and businesses throughout Canada, including sales and services for intermediaries (actuarial consulting firms, group plan representatives and Desjardins corporate financial centres). She is also in charge of savings product development for individuals as well as their distribution within the various intermediary networks, including financial centres of Desjardins Financial Security Independant Network and SFL (Quebec), general brokers and Desjardins caisses.
Before joining Desjardins-Laurentian Life Assurance in 1996, Ms. Tremblay worked for a large international firm of actuaries. Her responsibilities included strategic and technical pension plan consultations for a diverse clientele, including management tools for such plans, and support in the way of surveys and databases charting changes to pension plans and social benefits in Canada. At Desjardins Financial Security, she held the position of Executive Vice-President, Product Development and Technical Services, Desjardins Network, prior to her appointment. Her functions mainly included the design of life and health insurance and retirement savings products and services, as well as a consulting service for this network's clients. Ms. Tremblay has an MBA and is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and of the Society of Actuaries.

Louise Turgeon has been Senior Vice-President, AssurFinance for Institutions, AssurDirect and Desjardins Relations since August 18, 2003. Her business sector is responsible for all products distributed directly through Desjardins caisses, Desjardins corporate financial centres, caisse populaires in Ontario, Manitoba and New Brunswick, as well as Desjardins Credit Unions and other credit unions. Products include Loan Insurance, Line of Credit Insurance and Savings-Life Insurance.
Ms. Turgeon's business sector is responsible for the direct distribution of products offered by sponsors (Desjardins caisses, Visa, all types of cooperatives, etc.), including Travel Insurance and Accident Insurance (Accirance). Finally, she handles liaison between Desjardins Financial Security and the other components of Desjardins Group and, as a result, coordination of the offer of Desjardins Financial Security products and services with that of the caisse network and the corporate financial centres.
Since Ms. Turgeon began working for the company in 1986, she has held management positions in the Finance sector and in customer service of the group network and Desjardins. She was Executive Vice-President, Market Planning and Development, Desjardins Network, at the time of her appointment. In this capacity, she was responsible for the sector's strategic plan, strategic marketing, and marketing, training for the sales force, as well as piloting and implementing assurfinance under the Act Respecting the Distribution of Financial Products and Services. Ms. Turgeon is a chartered accountant and a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI).
