DFS is a member of the following associations:

Assuris (previoulsy known as Canadian Life and Health Insurance Compensation Corporation (CompCorp))
Assuris mission is to mitigate the impact on Canadian policyholders in the event of the financial failure of a life insurance company. It works in partnership with regulators on any necessary interventions, seeking to both minimize long-term costs and preserve consumer perceptions of industry strength.

CLHIA (Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association)
The CLHIA, established in 1894, is a voluntary trade association representing the collective interests of its member life and health insurers. The Association's membership accounts for some 98% of the life and health insurance in force in Canada and administers about two-thirds of Canada's pension plans.

ICMIF (International Cooperative and Mutual Insurance Federation)
The ICMIF represents both cooperative and mutual insurance companies from 41 countries. Its development program helps cooperatives and unions to develop cooperative insurance services, particularly in developing countries.

IFIC (Investment Funds Institute of Canada)
Founded in 1962, The Investment Funds Institute of Canada (the "Institute") is the industry association of the Canadian investment funds industry. Together with its affiliate, The Canadian Institute of Financial Planning, the Institute's vision is to provide the most innovative and effective services that will support and enhance the investment fund industry in its drive to provide the leading investment vehicles for Canadians

LIMRA (Life Insurance Marketing and Research Association)
Founded in 1916, LIMRA is a life insurance and financial services membership organization. Known for its research capabilities, it also offers several other services including consultation, training and development programs for employees and solutions for hiring the most promising candidates.

LOMA
LOMA is an international association founded in 1924. It aims to improve the management and operations of its members in the insurance and financial services industry throughout the world, notably through the development of employee skills, research and sharing of information.

RACQ (Regroupement des assureurs de personnes à charte du Québec)
Founded in 1995, the RACQ represents Quebec-chartered life insurance companies that operate under a different jurisdiction because of their charter and the markets they serve. All its members are Quebec companies headquartered in Quebec. The RACQ is a full member of the CLHIA.

IFCA (Insurance and Financial Communicators Association)
The IFCA is an international association of life insurance and financial services communicators. It represents some 650 members from over 125 life and health insurance companies operating in North America.
